Pro Street Bike

18 Racers all told turned up which meant the the Bracket would be run Elimination Style. Performances ranging from 9.0 to a few unrepresentative 10.1 ET's during qualifying's not so favourable weather conditions.

Alex Buxton was at the top with a 9.010 on a borrowed Stretched ZX12 Kawasaki with Jason Ellem on his stroker 1585cc Busa close behind with a 9.013. More than half the field was with in a tenth or two of the front runners with all racers bettering their times in racing. Buxton ended up running the bracket's first breakout 8 second pass, putting him out of contention later in the evening.

Semi Finals came down to Dave Rundmann on his standard length GSXR 1000 with Jason Ellem on the Hayabusa only losing by the narrowest of margins. Jaysen Wilcox had the bye run into the finals but unfortunately hurt the bike in a shake down pass giving Dave a solo in the final.

Dave Rundmann showed why he is the Current Comp Bike Champion with consistent riding and sharp lights proving that there's more needed in Pro Street than just a fast bike to win.

Modified Bike

Not to be left out, Mod Bike had good numbers with close racing throughout the evening. Semi Finals saw Jason Hammelswang defeat Dennis Ryan and Malcolm Brookes with the bye in to the Final.
Brookes defeated a red lighting Hammelswang which bodes well for the Track Championship, with 3 riders in contention and only 5 points dividing them going in to the Winternationals decider.
